We specialise in bespoke weddings for people who love the idea of ‘tying the knot’ in the very heart of Dartmouth. We have three elegant rooms licensed for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. The Adam and Apollo rooms both have spectacular views over the river Dart and the historic library is atmospheric and perfect for the more intimate wedding. Our experienced team are all dedicated to giving you the perfect wedding day. Not just renowned for our excellent hospitality and fine food but our friendly and efficient staff are well practiced at delivering the perfect day.

With a committed wedding planner giving you their undivided attention you will have a dedicated and personalised service. Able to share with you their experience and ideas your wedding planner will be as involved as you wish in planning this special event. We understand how individual and important this day is and we can guarantee to be on hand to help you every step of the way.
Each of our individually decorated 25 bedrooms has individual character and charm. The stylish décor carefully updates the traditional features with modern comforts. Some rooms have spa baths, river views and four poster beds and, with preferential rates for wedding parties, you will be able to find the perfect one for your wedding night or honeymoon stay.

We can now offer exciting and memorable weddings that make the most of the beautiful South Hams and the river Dart. Travelling by boat or train, or both, weddings run by The Royal Castle Hotel can now take place on the Dartmouth Riverboats and Steam Railways as well.
